Job Description:

Planet Consulting is actively recruiting a Sr. Business Analyst for a client of ours in Dunwoody, GA. The chosen candidate will be someone who can work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Requires a bachelor**s degree in an area of specialty and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field**s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Knowledge Needed:

** Bachelor's degree
** 6-8 years of field experience
** An understanding of contemporary requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, management practices, and the ability to apply them in the context of an active project
** An understanding of how to practice requirements engineering according to the specific software development life cycle approach practiced in a given environment
** An understanding of project management concepts and how business processes and information systems are positions and developed
** Familiarity with requirements engineering systems (such as CaliberRM) is a plus
** Familiarity with organizational requirements, engineering books, and resources is a plus
** Business or application domain knowledge is a plus
